Warned cell moving towards Spooner, WI. 1.5" hail and 60 mph winds. Thunder in the air here with a cell moving in from the south. Looks like temps this week are going to be slightly warmer than thought from just a couple days ago. 65-70 until the weekend. Of course its opening fishing weekend, and it looks to cool off into the 50's. Will see if that holds.

Rain and overcast returning by the end of next week? Really hope we don’t have a summer 2009 redux.

I wouldn't put too much weight into the long range model solutions right now.

Between the positive feedback loop with the ongoing/worsening drought across NM / TX and no signs of a -NAO / +PNA occurring, those solutions are liable to change.

They're already starting to trend away from the trough-y solution and more towards a torch.

70+ dewpoints have made it into Iowa.

This map of the GOM says it all:

It's weird here too, because normally dewpoint will mix out as we head into peak heating, and that hasn't been happening. If anything, they've been increasing.

HRRR has more of a southerly flow tomorrow, which would suggest virtually no lake cooling from the city south.  Exact wind direction will be important.  What does your point forecast have?

Dewpoints in the 50s in Northern Florida and 70s in Iowa. How is that possible ?

Wind direction.

Northern Florida is seeing a strong NE flow from over land and the cooler Atlantic water, whereas you all are getting a strong southerly flow from the warm GOM.

we definitely skipped spring again this year.

nah. Spring was this past Friday(late February/Early March), Satruday (Late March/Early April), Sunday (April), Monday (May). And yes, today begins summer.

May get some spring like weather early next week. Highs back down in the 60s

Trees rapidly blooming now. We will be warm but not nearly as warm as Chicago this week.

Yeah same here but still behind schedule. Cherry blossom trees are near peak.

Thurs/Fri looking really warm for your area. Env. Canada forecasting 84F both days in Windsor.
