Brian D
Warned cell moving towards Spooner, WI. 1.5" hail and 60 mph winds. Thunder in the air here with a cell moving in from the south. Looks like temps this week are going to be slightly warmer than thought from just a couple days ago. 65-70 until the weekend. Of course its opening fishing weekend, and it looks to cool off into the 50's. Will see if that holds.

I wouldn't put too much weight into the long range model solutions right now. Between the positive feedback loop with the ongoing/worsening drought across NM / TX and no signs of a -NAO / +PNA occurring, those solutions are liable to change. They're already starting to trend away from the trough-y solution and more towards a torch.

This map of the GOM says it all: It's weird here too, because normally dewpoint will mix out as we head into peak heating, and that hasn't been happening. If anything, they've been increasing. Hoosier
The temperature performance thus far today suggests to me that ORD has a pretty good shot at 90 tomorrow. I'd certainly expect 90s at MDW tomorrow.
Torchageddon
I'm up to 25C/78F so far, that's 4C higher than what TWN is showing. This is the second day of summer here.

Northern Florida is seeing a strong NE flow from over land and the cooler Atlantic water, whereas you all are getting a strong southerly flow from the warm GOM. Hoosier
It appears that the hotter RGEM is verifying the best with temps around Chicago. This is not to give credence to how it's doing regionally. It's too hot in general.
