You can keep that swamp ass stuff down there in NJ. Thanx.

Good evening gravity. forky is practicing to be a presidential debate moderator. It’s also possible that our own CPK ASOS could manage a 78 degree low in combination with a 74 degree high. Stay well and north, as always ….

It's looking quite impressive at present. FYI, yesterday's SOI figure of +40.77 set a new May record.

Don wasn't the 1930s Dust Bowl era as well as the extinction of the Mayan civilization linked to persistent La Nina patterns?  Perhaps we are headed into another one of those with widespread geopolitical consequences including mass migrations, wide ranging droughts, etc.

Climate change will likely lead to some of those stresses on human society with geopolitical fallout. The continued existence of destabilizing geopolitical actors such as Russia will probably exacerbate those effects.

The next 8 days are averaging  68degs.(59/76) or +4.

Month to date is  57.2[-3.4].      Should be  61.7[-0.3] by the 20th.

Reached 73 here yesterday.

The atmosphere is pulling the panties and dirty underwear off these models to reveal all their 'foibles'(Rated G not XXX)!

Almost a week now that this cutoff has been stuck under the near record 588 dm block. So more of the same for our area. Scattered clouds  and 60s near the shore today with onshore flow.  Record heat potential well into the 80s over the interior Northeast.

We really lucked out with the heat this far due to the cutoff but after the 20th that will change.
Mid 80s are a given
God I hope you're right.
Another cloudy day

I want the warmth.
Sure I'll just quit my job, leave my family, and forget my retirement.
Move to Florida? Sure everyone let's go

Alright we'll move to Florida if you move to Vancouver for the nonstop chilly maritime trash.  Deal?  ;)

I mean, ultimately it's merely a matter of preference, right?  Personally, I like our varied climate and love all extreme weather.  Give me warmth in the summer and tundra-like cold and snow during the winter.  This persistent cool, damp nonsense is monotonous.  I'm ready for some warm summer days and afternoon T-storms.  Come September, I'll welcome chilly weather again.

I’m not saying that I want 90s and dew points in the 70s but just give me a few days in the low 80s  and low humidity And Sunny of course
