winterwx21
It's 88 degrees here. Feels like the middle of summer, but decent outside because the dewpoint is fairly low. Hoping for a nice t-storm later this afternoon.

LGA remains in the low 60's on a NE flow off the Sound as of the noon hour observation. Mesonet station in central Queens in the 70's to near 80, while the South shore of Queens and JFK in the 60's on a southerly flow off the Atlantic. There will probably be late day high temperatures for those affected by wind off the water, LI Sound/Atlantic, ahead of the frontal boundary as we thoroughly mix the low levels to max; may be one of those scenarios where outflow boundaries ahead of convection spike temperatures briefly ahead of the front this evening. forkyfork
winds are still easterly in CT so it's the backdoor. the cooler air is more shallow there than in new england so it's allowing for some mixing
dWave
87 at EWR wow. I didn't expect such a strong sea breeze off the Sound at LGA, parts of the Bx, NE Queens etc. Long Island, southern Qns & Bk I did as, it was forecasted anyway, but its an impressive Sound sea breeze, not in a good way. Glad I'm not there for it haha.

It finally warms up this time of year after the cold front passes and winds come from the land. So there it’s actually a warm front.

bluewave
The back and forth pattern continues as we are going from the 80s today to possible higher elevation snows early next week. Record warmth in early March to record cold at the end of the month. Cooler start to April before the record warmth today. So plenty of volatility with these rapid wavelength changes.
