:yikes: That would be extremely impressive even if you cut it by several degrees.

Definitely...as record highs in OKC (as an example) are 108-110 for July 18-20.

NWS Tulsa:

Ridge aloft quickly strengthens across the region by Monday and
likely maintains the dominate influence through much of next week.
Deterministic guidance raw sfc temps generates extreme heat
values next week, and while errors are likely large at this time
range, the more reasonable bias corrected blend still produces
high confidence for high temps in the 100 to 110 range for
several days across the forecast area. No meaningful rainfall is
expected through the forecast period and drought conditions will
continue to intensify.

12z Euro 2m is somewhat cooler down there with highs more like 110-115, but still insane either way.  These temps would probably be among the hottest readings we have seen outside of the western US in quite a while.

Summer 2022 weather => :sleepy:

At least I did chase one storm (really the only one all summer).  I was right there in the path of the Fenton Lake tornado.  Had a tree go down right in front of me.  To bad it was night and I couldn't get a good look at the tornado but I was right there.

Going to an outdoor wedding on the outskirts of Madison on Saturday. Already see the area highlighted on the Day 4 SPC outlook. Point and click shows 1.6 inches of rain Saturday afternoon and evening. It looks like 200 people are cramming into a barn. Respirator time.

Are you local to southern Wisconsin or coming in from elsewhere in the region?

Welcome friend, enjoy some cheese curds and beer before you enter the ICU.

Any current or former wrestling fans in here?

Shocked that Vince McMahon is retiring from WWE.  He's been involved in scandals but never imagined him leaving.  Wrestling was the coolest thing back in the day, and he brought us one of the great feuds of all-time between he and Austin.
