definitely a little velocity signature running 67 toward Midlothian.  That stretch of 67 from Venus ENE is the single most active place for these spinups that I've seen in my 10 years running this network in the metroplex.  With the east shores of Eagle Mt lake a close second.

My family near Longview will be under the gun within the next hour or two.

I'm in Longview. It'll probably be closer to midnight before the current group of storms gets here. Unless something goes severe ahead of it.

If somebody ever resurrects the "Tornado Video Classics" video series (although there's so much footage taken now, it'd be a beast to sort out the best), this needs to be in it. Reminds of one that was in one of the original installments, taken from a helicopter as a multi-vortex tornado ripped trees out of the ground and hurled them through the air.

Bryan under the gun and it appears very very close to Southgate where most the students live in those high rises. Holding nothing is in the ground. It’s a bad/dead radar area.

TAMU has a radar that the weather service has access to.  I am pretty sure it's operational today.  Not sure if the data is public.
