nj2va
Driving out to Deep Creek now. On 270, easily the worst highway in the world. Why haven’t they added lanes north of Clarksburg? anways hope everyone scores snow tomorrow. Should be some fun weather at least.

The SV maps seem to calculate using less sophisticated metrics and can be way off when it’s a borderline setup where calculating 1-2 hours wrong or misplacing the snow/ice/rain line a bit can have a huge difference. The 200km grid point spacing they use for plotting also seems like a poor decision

The eminent domain costs are insane. 270 should have been 4 lanes across up to I-70 from the start.

NorthArlington101
Not worth overanalyzing the HRRR yet (or probably ever) but it has sleet lasting for ~15 minutes at most places before it turns over to snow from 5:30-8:30 west/east. Should be a pretty quick transition all things considered.

Rhino16
Hopefully after this it can get be warm and keep the bugs to a minimum. I’m excited to hopefully see some flakes tomorrow though, so warmth can wait a little longer. Edit: and it’s spring break, so what isn’t there to enjoy?
WinterWxLuvr
I can’t enjoy the storm without a winter storm warning. I hope it just rains instead

Roger Smith
The storm is now modelled to reach 922 mbs south of Greenland by Monday. That's crazy low pressure, the North Atlantic non-tropical cyclone record is 916 mbs. The all-time lowest pressure in Canada is 940.2 mbs set on Jan 10, 1977 at St Anthony Newfoundland which is on the northern tip of the island near the Strait of Belle Isle (source: C. Burt, Weather Underground blog). This may give it a run as it continues to deepen heading offshore from Labrador on Sunday.
