Yeah once that streamer came overhead all hell broke loose. Still going right now. This is prob like 2” per hour stuff. Perfect LES type dendrites. Wind is packing it though so we won’t be getting 25 to 1 ratios.

That was pretty crazy here too.

It’s like we live in a different region out here. Practically Every snowy system misses here. Folks rip weenie bands out east while we hear birds chirping.

I can’t even.  At least I have a sense of humor about it but it’s like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day.  Wash, rinse, repeat.

Meh, you aren’t missing much. I don’t think anyone is getting more than 2-3” in SNE at any point.

Will is talking about best snow/wind combo of the season, so it seems like we are missing out. That dude is always catching the goods too…what a luckbox. I’d like to snip some of his locks and take it with me whenever I hit the casinos.

rocking the radar back and forth and it almost seems like the NW flow undercut the lift, almost appeared like a meso low was over my area as you can see the circulation... actually lightly snowing again, fluff, and wind blown

I agree on the Mesolow. Definitely saw that. I just drove from Columbia home. Area just east of IJD Chaplin got smoked relatively

11.3" storm total with still some upslope -SN ongoing. I had about 4" from the synoptic part of the storm, but the backside with it's upslope and streamers has definitely overachieved. Pure fluff except the synoptic stuff underneath which is denser, but still dry.

That said, I've officially passed the 100" for the season with 102.2" as of now. It's been a frustrating winter locally, but it has at least earned a passing grade...

Bodies bodies everywhere!

LOL, Scott's trying to soften the blow while the rest of us are jumping up and down and high fiving.

Best coating of the year here?

I guess my point is that I don’t think it lasted long.

Lol. It comes and goes. I’m sure I’ll regress because it’s inevitable.

But yeah…like Scott said, we’re not getting that much snow. Maybe 1-2” (spot 3 maybe)…but it’s the nasty wind/snow combo that’s making it such a great feel tonight. Ground blizzard with big gusts and the occasional heavier snow squall. It just feels like deep winter out there tonight. Not a passing spring storm.

Pretty brutal. Although moon visible now.

Doubt you'll regress much. It's a good area. maybe not always the jackpot it's rare to be skunked.

Does anyone have any low pressure reports for this storm?  I see buoy 44490 near St. John, Newfoundland is reporting 934mb, that's the lowest I've seen (without too much effort admittedly).

EDIT: I think this was an anomalous data point as nothing nearby is close to this.  The closest I've seen outside of this was about 960mb.

Its not always about the quantity. I would love a good squall, it's been forever. Even twenty minutes of a streamer like you and Will had tonight. After awhile out here you become hardened to it. We are still in a pattern more years than not which still favors the eastern and southeast areas. Sure there are a few more duds mixed in and NNE on the whole is doing a little better but still no sign of a more clipper and or Miller A dominated storm track
