It really has been booking off to the east as of late.  Conversely the back edge of the snow is moving to the NE across VA at about 60 mph.  This storm is a fast mover.

Yea the gas prices right now are awful..... but the weenie in me does want to take a drive to Sloatsburg area later to see what it actually looks like.

A retired met always used to tell me that rain to snow events here where you see significant sleet or snow mixing in when you’re still 38-39-40 often turn out to be much worse than expected.  We’ll see if he’s right.  I still don’t expect more than 2 near the city
