Birds~69
I have a feeling this subforum will be a ghost town for the foreseeable future. No cold outbreaks, heat outbreaks, snow, rain, t-storms, wind...just a bunch of upper 50s-mid 60s partly sunny/cloudy days. Blah...boring. 36F/Sunny
JTA66
^Agreed. It will pick up some when severe season gets underway and later in the summer with tropical season. But by and large, most of us are winter weather fans. Only 192 days until fall! 38F
Hurricane Agnes
There are others of us who like "weather", no matter what type and certainly we do get severe and recently, an uptick of tornadoes, along with some kind of hurricane/TS remnant coming over the CWA. As an obs, had a low of 30 this morning and it's currently at 46 with dp 28. Since we had more sleet yesterday than other areas, there are still patches of frozen in the shaded grassy areas. Lady Di
I've always been more of a snow fan. A snowstorm is not as damaging as an ice storm, tornados, hurricanes, tropical storms, and flooding events. You hunker down during the storm, then go out when it's over, move it out of the way and get on with life. I do read the tropical section when there is a threat of a US landfall. Right after my husband passed we had Ida and I had to refill and start a generator for 2 days after my son set it up. Not fun. Hoping I don't have to do that again.
Rockem_sockem_connection
57 out. Cleaned up some sticks and leaves in the yard in preparation of putting down some pre emergent Wednesday. Probably run to Home Depot after work and get my propane tanks swapped out and get mulch for the flower bed. Thinking of washing the deck and bringing the deck furniture out this week too and replacing the canopy on my grill gazebo thing. Gonna be rocking and rolling come first day of spring ahead of the game. Really nice today and looks to be getting better.
JTA66
Other than north-facing, shaded areas, this weekend's snow is just a memory. Stuff was already starting to poke up out of the ground and lawns are looking like they're ready to green up. 55F
Hurricane Agnes
Ended up hitting a high of 58 yesterday and had a low of 36 this morning. Still had some leftover patches of frozen stuff (sleet) in some of the protected areas. Currently sunny with some scattered cirrus and 46/dp 35. Boooooo. Eh. I'ma do it anyway. A little rain never hurt anybody.

Hurricane Agnes
Made it up to 67 today and it's currently down to 62 with dp 37 but did see that on the radar. I thought there might have been some chances, but only far north with a clipper that is scooting across the northern PA/southern NY border, where Thursday and the weekend were pretty much categorical. RedSky
Not to be fooled by fake spring. Strong guidance indications of significant cold wave in the last five days of March. Possibly snow if a wave is timed right. Same pattern of more warmth than cold interspersed by a deep cold wave. The EKG pattern. In like a lamb out like a polar bear? 1

The EKG pattern. In like a lamb out like a polar bear? I just humped 3 bags of salt from the garage to the shed and applied a round of fertilizer and bug-be-gone to the front and back yard. Also checked the state of my generator, noticed the starter batt didn't have enough juice to crank, and then I noticed some idiot had left the fuel line open since the last time it was run. (Dammit.) She wouldn't start from the pull start, either. Now, I know the gas that was in there was stabilized, but it's probably been a year since I (er, I mean, some idiot) had run it. So I guess I'll be doing a carb teardown at some point in the near future. Got up to 71.9°F here today. Everybody (besides me) was grilling, the neighborhood smelled awesome. zenmsav6810
seems like an early spring. The most epic early spring I remember was 2012. I was a senior in HS and I remember the trees being leafed out by St. Patty's day
