When that was issued, they were predicting this - https://mesonet.agron.iastate.edu/vtec/#2022-O-NEW-KPHI-FA-A-0004/USCOMP-N0Q-202206021905

I know different parts of the area may have different FFG based on antecedent conditions so up north, their waterways might be able to handle more than down this way.

ETA - WPC has our area penciled in -

I expect new developments to pop south where the watches were issued but thinking Lehigh Valley needs to be added.

If anything a nice steady rain for the burbs, severe weather doesn't appear it will be a issue.

Starting tomorrow through next week my be the best stretch of summer weather I've seen in a long time. No torch, upper 70s/low 80s and comfy overnight temps/windows open.

Long range June looks like more of the same, it may finish slightly above normal but the dominant NW flow with the center of the cool blue bubble in the northern plains continues unabated. Tenacious pattern memory maybe this summer won't be as hot as last year.

Think I only have 3 90F days so far w/none in sight so that is a good thing. Not going to get too excited because we could go into torch mode just like that...just going to enjoy the next 7+days w/nice days and some 50s nights.

There was a summer several years ago that had a cool side June, long range looked not hot at the end of the month and I declared the summer heat beat, then bam torched through September from July 4th.

Man what a beautiful day today. If the rest of summer could be like this, I'd be ok with that.

I've been out of town for a few days, and my wife hurt her back right before I left so she couldn't mow--it's been 10 days since we mowed last. Two hours of bushwhacking later, and I barely had to wipe the sweat from my brow. 25% humidity FTW.

Low's last night across the County ranged from the chilly upper 40's in the lower spots to the low 50's on the ridges. Today should be a couple degrees cooler but another beautiful day. Record high for today is the 97 degrees back in 1927. Record low was the 39 degrees reading on this date in 1948. Record rain for the day is the 2.39" on this date in 1970.
