Some accumulating snow starting to look increasingly likely for some areas on Wednesday....all models have something  image.thumb.png.ab36754b427399b746faa4b143f9be3f.pngimage.thumb.png.9ee4044b63af0787c22c68cfa07a7d7b.pngimage.thumb.png.562724e642f00c2dace5004381846de1.pngimage.thumb.png.9af6e5d1a6d728fd9f664c4d833f126f.png

The NBM seems to be weighting towards the GFS at the moment.  The NAM has marginal surface temps at the time it is showing that total accumulated snow (with similar temps preceding that). Same thing with the antecedent surface temps on the EC being marginal (at least in the southern parts of the CWA) with the colder air coming in after the precip. :P  I think the EC is putting more weight on the 850 & 925 temps which are going to be colder but that stuff would hit the above freezing at the surface and liquefy.

Locations with elevation over 600ft would if these models are correct see accumulation....if below 400 ft - I would think more white rain

I would agree.  The colder air is higher up in the atmosphere but is marginal at ground level at any lower elevations south and east along the coastal plain.

Temp here is now 74 with dp 60. Winds have really picked up now. Same temp at KPHL (per the ASOS just before 11 am), which would tie the record (so far).

ETA - my crocuses are up and blooming!

74F here as well. Definitely had some 30-35mph gust. Really think we'll see some 50+ gust later this afternoon/evening. State college radar starting to show some darker greens/yellows...

Are you going to do the same thing you did last storm? Every single model now has the stripe of accum snows in SE PA. Timing is near perfect....early morning hours and AM rush so sun not really an issue. Many of us will see a car topper/mulch topper. I love the 70s today but you have to at least acknowledge what guidance is showing. Cant just disregard it because you personally moved on from winter. We go thru this every year anymore. March is the new Feb.
