Hurricane Agnes
Wow. You can tell when the warm front got shunted up over this area because my temp suddenly shot up before 7 am. The low temp here was 45 just before 6:30 am and now the temp is up to 63 at post time. Although there is nothing on radar over me (the band is way out west), it's overcast and the sidewalk is wet - probably due to the dp that shot up from a low of 34 earlier this morning just prior to the lifting of the warm front, to a current dp of 58. Hurricane Agnes
WPC has us hashed for severe - (their 8 am forecast which seemed to have shown the warm front moving a little faster than what actually happened this morning so far)
CoolHandMike
68 and winds 15mph gusting to low 20s. The warmth and humidity feel kinda good after it being so cold so late in the year imho. Healthy line of convection out to the west: Watches are also up to the west, should get ours soon as well I think.
CoolHandMike
Mesoscale Discussion 0378 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 0240 PM CDT Thu Mar 31 2022 Areas affected...South-central into northeastern Pennsylvania Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 87... Valid 311940Z - 312145Z The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 87 continues. SUMMARY...Threat for damaging wind gusts and a couple of tornadoes, particularly in parts of central/eastern Pennsylvania, will continue this afternoon/evening. A new watch will likely be needed into parts of southeast New York and New Jersey as activity continues to the east. DISCUSSION...Skies have remained relatively clear across parts of central/eastern Pennsylvania ahead of a line of convection that has shown increase in coverage and lightning activity. Surface observational trends have also shown a localized area of pressure falls ahead of this activity. Damaging wind gusts and isolated marginally severe hail will remain a concern as these storms continue eastward. Given the backed surface winds in eastern Pennsylvania and 850 mb winds that should remain strong to the east, there will also be a threat for QLCS circulations/tornadoes. As this activity is expected to continue into southeastern New York and New Jersey, a new watch will likely be needed this afternoon. ..Wendt.. 03/31/2022 ...Please see www.spc.noaa.gov for graphic product... Hurricane Agnes
So far have 0.11" in the bucket from the earlier showers but looks like another batch may be incoming. It's been overcast all morning and into the early afternoon but the sun is attempting to break out (and has made an appearance a few times within the past 15 minutes) as the temp has started to creep up a bit. Had a low of 41 this morning and a brief high of 52 before dropping back to the current 51 with dp 42.

Hurricane Agnes
Getting a rain shower here at the moment but so far no hail. I know I had some pea-sized hail here last year for the first time in years but it seems to have become less common here in the city.

The regular Magnolia on the other hand is all brown with dead flowers. Last time that happened there were a few blooms in July, lol.

Yesterday, just after 4 PM, I was bombarded by an intense hailstorm. I was driving north from Princeton NJ, on Route 27. Noisy banging on my windshield, at least pea sized hail. Some lightning, but did not hear thunder.
RedSky
And another forecast sunny day mostly overcast. Bonus it was the only day this week that was going to be sunny. This eastern troughing sucks.
CoolHandMike
Yesterday felt like late fall around here, since it was cold and blustery and the trees are all still bare, and today feels like more of the same only not as breezy. One of my neighbors was out doing yard work in a winter jacket and knit hat; it just seemed incongruous to me. My own lawn is starting to have patches of mowable grass, so next weekend I guess it'll be my turn (especially if all of this supposed rain in the forecast comes our way). Currently overcast and 50°F. Enjoying this while it lasts. I have several large outdoor projects in the queue for late spring and summer (building a deck, rebuilding and staining my fence, and the yearly mulch refreshing to name a few). I am definitely not looking forward to the sweaty season.
RedSky
Hope the GFS is completely wrong it cancels the nice warm up next week and keeps the eastern trough forever. 2020 repeat.
