I’ve got no horse in this race. But from N MA north it’s high stakes. You and me are in the same boat south of BOS . I learned lesson a long time ago. Never use the globals in these SWFE . NAM actually jumped north a full 24 hours before even I expected it would

This isn’t a normal SWFE, it’s starting to morph into a SWFE/Miller B hybrid. The miller B redevelopment would keep us south of the pike snow for longer, possibly even the entire storm.

Absolutely classic Kevin in a SWFE. Only thing left is to try and lump Ray in with Tolland. I suspect you’ll do that in the next 24-36 hours.

Kevin is definitely guarding against the potential that Boston area is getting pounded while he sleets ( a distinct possibility in these setups)

This has been his MO in SWFEs since 2007-2008. He cannot stand it when BOS or Scooter are ripping heavy snow while he’s pelting so he tries to lump everyone in together by saying sleet gets to S NH while ignoring that it may snow heavily for 3 or 4 extra hours in BOS which would make their snowfall forecast different than Tolland.

Yeah, we did not move out to Greenfield till 2007 so missed that one and the 2002 valley crusher.  Feb 2013 (Nemo) was pretty big for the Valley. 22-24” in Greenfield.

Octobomb was also more than 2' for parts of SW NH esp but not the jack.  AFN and a few of the hilltowns got 30".

You are very nervous with this one. Afraid that the Hi res is right and has you ripping out your sleet helmet by 10 AM. If it sleets here.. it sleets there

Yup, longitude will matter some in this type of event. You can even see it on the snow maps, which is why many of them have se Mass getting more than many spots in CT.. despite similar latitude.

I’ve been expecting sleet here for days. Haven’t you read any of my posts on this?

Au contraire my little bald friend

I remember he was grouchy when ORH-BOS was getting crushed in that event but he didn’t absolutely lose it until Mattmfm posted from Providence that he was getting heavy snow while Tolland was getting Scalped. He went nuclear when that happened. Then Ekster posts from SE MA that it’s ripping at 2” per hour and I think he logged off for a couple hours. That might have been the first event he broke some stuff in the basement.
