Yeah - that's weird. I guess they are trying to get through the current batch - but that seems semi misleading for readers. They even trimmed probabilities as if this is it for the day. The new outlook has the "the front has cleared the area" kind of read to it. Maybe they are planning on just covering the remainder of the day with mesoscale discussions

Lol For the record I've never seen a tornado...kinda want to see one, but also kinda not for the damage! Fascinating phenomenon

The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Southeastern Baltimore City in northern Maryland...
  North central Anne Arundel County in central Maryland...
  Southeastern Baltimore County in northern Maryland...

* Until 115 PM EDT.
    
* At 101 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located over South Gate, or over Severn, moving northeast at 35
  mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...For those in the direct path of a tornado touchdown, 
           flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Damage to roofs, siding, and windows may occur. 
           Mobile homes may be damaged or destroyed. Tree damage is 
           likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Severna Park around 105 PM EDT.
  Ferndale and Green Haven around 110 PM EDT.
  Riviera Beach, Sparrows Point, Fort Smallwood State Park, North 
  Point State Park, Glen Burnie, Dundalk, Pasadena, Lake Shore and 
  Brooklyn Park around 115 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Fort
Howard, Gambrills, Edgemere and Turners Station.

Yeah, blew through quick. Had a quick blast of wind/rain as it first hit and then some thunder, but worst of it went southeast through Catonsville.

Thought it a bit odd as well, guess they could mention it on the 2000z OTLK if the threat manifests itself?

         Yeah, they could certainly update the 20Z outlook, but @kmlwx is spot on saying that the probabilities map was certainly drawn to account for the only threat being from the ongoing activity.    It doesn't go back nearly far enough west for a round 2.

Unless SPC is seeing something that we aren't, I think we're primed for Round #2...perhaps even one that surpasses this morning's activity in some areas.

Severe Thunderstorm Warnings do not trigger Wireless Emergency Alerts unless the SVR is tagged for 'Destructive': https://www.foxweather.com/extreme-weather/destructive-thunderstorm-alerts-what-they-are-and-why-the-nws-issues-them

And warning fatigue is real - I think that's a solid call - especially in the DC area where (not ragging on LWX) but EVERYTHING seems to get a warning in severe season.

Other than glancing at the HRRR I haven't done a lot of looking at the next around yet. Finishing up some work stuff (was SUPPOSED to be a half day). Though from what I've seen on Twitter and on here - I'm intrigued.
