Severe Thunderstorm Warning

The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Central Carroll County in north central Maryland...
  Northwestern Howard County in central Maryland...
  Northwestern Montgomery County in central Maryland...
  Frederick County in north central Maryland...

* Until 1245 PM EDT.

* At 1159 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Walkersville to near Ballenger Creek to near
  Poolesville, moving east at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches
           to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as
           damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by
           downed trees. Localized power outages are possible.
           Unsecured light objects may become projectiles.

* Locations impacted include...
  Germantown, Frederick, Westminster, Damascus, Thurmont,
  Poolesville, Harry Grove Stadium, Montgomery Village, Eldersburg,
  Ballenger Creek, Mount Airy, Taneytown, Walkersville, Braddock
  Heights, New Market, Green Valley, Clover Hill, Discovery-Spring
  Garden, Boyds and Linganore-Bartonsville.

Cool, went right over my house, at school right now so won't know what happened for a bit. Just saw the image, I looked at radarscope but it only lasted a frame so was hard to make out but it makes sense the NWS knows just a bit more than me.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 PM EDT
FOR THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA...MONTGOMERY...NORTHWESTERN PRINCE
GEORGES...ARLINGTON...AND EASTERN FAIRFAX COUNTIES...THE EASTERN CITY
OF FAIRFAX...THE CITY OF FALLS CHURCH AND THE CITY OF ALEXANDRIA...

At 1207 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Germantown to American Legion Bridge to Springfield,
moving northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to
         fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage
         homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed
         trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured

Arlington, Alexandria, Germantown, Rockville, Bethesda, Gaithersburg,
Reston, Annandale, Clinton, Olney, Springfield, College Park, Fort

Vienna and Groveton.
