They are south, that is a tell that the NAM maybe be too far north, when everything else is south. Plus inverse NAM principle is a good play too.

Not really. They almost always mimic the previous NAM run.

In this case the 18z NAM has bumped SE, so it was a given the 21z SREF would as well. Would expect the 3z SREF to bump back NW.

They were south of the 18z run by a considerable margin.

Those plumes were consistently dumping 10”-18” on Waukegan even as the GHD storm was underway. We got maybe 2”.
