  • 1 year later...

Was going back through this storm this evening.

Pretty amazing how fast it snuck up on us.

Here's some radar images...first from the afternoon of the 26th when the steady light snow was just overtaking the region....then going into late night and then early morning.

This is a pic by Ginx of a flag like 30 feet from him...he claims it wasn't a blurry ginx pic and it was the snow intensity...impressive:

RGEM model run...it looked similar to this for like the last 4-5 runs...it was a red flag for western areas...and how about kudos for nailing the band:

Saving pictures of Jerry on a home PC?

No, there's a feature on this forum called the "search function" and it can find older threads quickly. Then when you find a thread and associated images, there's a feature on the mouse called "right click" and you choose "copy image location" and then you return to this thread and click "paste" in the image url and those pictures will show up. It's pretty neat.

I was at south station on the bus headed back to NYC when this happened. Pretty cool to have experienced that. It went from rain to heavy wet snow almost instantly

That was a strange event. Dropped 7 degrees in 10 minutes and started straight as snow where I was. Very convective with colder air working in from N and NE of all places.

Great shot! Keep that one save on an external hard drive to show the boy when he's older.

In fact everyone should back up their photos from last winter, one crash on the computer and you can't get that back.

You have anything saved from December? You guys had that really interesting storm that had some crazy mesoscale rain and snow lines.
