An event that lasted Sunday afternoon until almost midnight on Tuesday. Forecast was a bust and we still got about 12-18 statewide. I remember watching NBC30 while in VT when watches just went up. I believe Bob Maxon had 24-36" in the NW hills, 18-24" for central CT and 12-18" for southern and SE CT. I also remember Paul Kocin talking about this is likely going to be the biggest storm in over 50 years (prob a ref. to the blizzard 1947). This was a huge bust for the cities, Central Park only received 3.5" and Boston received 9.8". Both those cities i believe were in the 1-2 foot range maybe 3 feet. This was a huge interior event with southern NH, VT and NY getting up to 3 feet. My #1 all time coming soon... One of the cleaner, esthetically speaking, looking maps I've made. One of the all time greats in interior MA. Had around 27” in ORH but officially I think the airport reported 22”...but that was during their ASOS outage snow disaster years...their final report came like 12 hours before the snow ended. Lol. Despite that, it was actually a mild underperformer if that’s possible. Mets were going 3 feet plus here. Still, can’t complain about a storm that breaks 2 feet. More like 2.5 or 3 that washed away while Ray was doing naked cartwheels in 30" of pow. May it live in infamy with Boxing Day. That was up there with 4-1-97 for me...absolutely, positively #epic.

HalloweenGale
How good was the winter of 1957-58 for SNE? According to my dad, the snowstorm that happened on his birthday (3/14/58) knocked out the power to Richardson House.

HalloweenGale
The 27th anniversary of the Superstorm of 1993 is fast approaching. How much did everyone get? Out on ACK 2" was reported, but I could've sworn we had more. Maybe that was from the storm that hit SNE on the 10-11th?
