RGEM throws some snow pretty far northwest on Sunday.

The last time either has performed a coup in this range ( 84+) east of Chicago, ... wow, I have to go - personally - back to January 2005 with the NAM.  The ICON, as far as I can tell ...never has led. 

I'm still considering this events as a Looney Tune "Ralph Phillips" special until proven otherwise, and shall remain uninterested.

Yup. It brought the mid Atlantic blizzard back into play for some of us…first to sniff it out.  Ended up with like 10” from that. And even more as you went south and southwest obviously.  But it did a very good job with that.

Oh well I was excited about a snowy Sunday a few days ago but that has slipped away too....Just barely 15 inches on the season and the clocks a ticking

Well, as much as I am succumb to the fact that this winter is probably going to be not such a hot winter for most of us Central Southern New England and the tri-state area. Except for those areas along the coast I got the big snow, most of us have been below average. It's fine, but, can't rule out a big storm to up our totals to normal or even just above. You just never know. Once we get to the second week of March I pretty much write everything off and it's springtime for me

I write it off after St Patrick's Day, I remember having snow and an ice storm one year on St Patty's Day and I remember a couple years where it was a beautiful warm spring day.

That 200-250kt jet would indicate there is potential for more QPF...not surprising the RGEM/NAM are showing the most generous snows along the coast from DE to MA...they may be picking up on that while the GFS cannot.
