But you have man made snow at Mt. Southington near you.

Yes sir…nice local ski are. The ski area is in great shape. Actually went skiing on the 30th of January, day after the 8” here(you got 20”), and it was in superb shape. Hadn’t ski’d in 17 years…but it was a lot of fun, really enjoyed it.

Yeah there will likely be a fronto band with this thing…SE areas favored for now. But unless we get back to sharpening up that southern stream again, the upside is something like 4-7” in a stripe.

For the higher end scenarios to be back in play, we’ll want to see a big trend at 12z of sharpening up the southern vort and having it phase with northern stream. I’m not expecting that trend, but it’s what we would need.

Ya we’ll take whatever we can get..we have no choice anyway lol.  Too bad it can’t get its act together.  But it is the tenor.

Appears to be an unfortunate timing error..that lead shortwave moving off the coast is too fast despite that digging northern stream. And I guess the northern stream isn't digging like it did at 12z yesterday. so meh

The sound track of this season....Alanis Morissette has orchestrated the 2021-2022 winter.

Look at MLK day...great KU setup, that found a way to cut when energy buried itself at base of trough....then the one before, where the saggy tits caused one I95 band....then December, when a great NAO block was waisted by record RNA. Gotta call a spade a spade, man.

Each single event representing a microcosm of a season that salvaged futility from a great looking east-based la nina.

Anaomalies happen.

You mean it was a disappointment but at least it wasn't a blowtorch.

I honestly would have rather the blow torch....having chances is great until about mid January....but its about that point where you begin to cross a certain threshold where diminishing returns of potential are precipitated by frustration.

The best part is that the video actually takes place in a winter setting lol, which actually adds to the whole paradox.

Snow-storm...compared to '78,

Eastern mass wx blogged about it...and fizzled the next day

It's a 3SD of the R-N-A

It's a jog west on the euro, 50 miles too late.

 Isn't ironic, don't you think?

No, I don't think. You can't casually foretell irony. That's rather the point of irony.

Tblizz was looking at the first low that 6z NAM had, but that kind of is the reason we get porked. 12z NAM got rid of that, and yes the low is SE..but that was a change we needed.

Expand

Yep, if we get this type of trend on the rest of the 12z suite, then we have a pulse still.
