The schools here could be in a bit of a quagmire. They just left but it could get hairy later…

Yeah. All this blather about, “it’s going to be manageable, it’s going to be in light bits and pieces”. Nope, it’s gonna snow like wild for a bit this afternoon through early Friday.

Relative to lead times, all the models did fairly well.. They all wavered a bit but at times showed the general idea. Over the last day and a 1/2 the euro seemed pretty steady.   But then again, verification hasn't happened yet, lol!

LOL. Yeah we are nowhere near being able to validate any model for.this event. The biggest loser *could* be the GFS which IIRC was pretty far SE with its heavier snow totals for many runs.  Not sure what the latest is, it may have ended up correcting a but. But...we shall see.

Just flipped over to snow here in the last 15 minutes. It looks like many schools have closed for the day even though there is yet to be any accumulation in the Syracuse area.

Were already at almost 3” in the southtowns and we’ll likely see another 1-2” before the real good come this afternoon and tonight. I see double digits here by tomorrow midday.

Look at that train of snow to the SE, definitely getting a foot as ratios improve.
