wicked sea breeze rn in NYC
EWR: 67F
NYC (Central Park): 60F
LGA: 54F
JFK: 48F (lol)

That was honestly one of the worst parts about living there - nice spring day, you're on some rooftop bar, it's sunny and 70.  Then like 20 min later it's foggy af and like 45F (yet about 5-10 miles west in NJ it's still in the 70s).

The models almost always way over do the warm sector wind gusts.  It just doesn't mix down efficiently.  Maybe if you get in the right spot during a heavier shower.  I bet the better winds will be around sunrise out of the NW.

It's also much higher than all the rest of the guidance. Everything else is down in the 45-55mph range.

Hrrr with the super snow squall line dumping 1 inch in spots

A number of the CAMs either explicitly show a similar feature or hint at it.    The Saturday front is really strong, and the environment ahead of it will have healthy lapse rates, so I think that the chance of a forced line of convection along the boundary is fairly high.    Temperatures would support rain showers quickly changing to snow.

Wind is starting to rip here.

Here too. Winds sustained 24mph Gusts up to 44. 61 degrees.

My good friends in Ohio said it was almost 60 degrees there earlier and just sent me a video of it ripping dendrites outside their house lol. Sucks being on the warm side. But hey, I’ll take a quick 1” from a death squall in between 60+ degree days, enjoy a few days of warmth, before we get back to tracking our next northern tier MECS
