It's not very often that NYC and parts of Long Island are below freezing with freezing rain while a good part of northern and north-central NJ is above freezing with plain rain. For part of the area it's a serious situation while for another part of the area it's a big nothing. 3

There is a lot of moisture still to come and the northern boros are in the 20s, as well as the north shore of the island.

It will accumulate on the trees etc by have very little impact on the main roads. impactful was a few weeks ago with the frz rain event early in the morning

I got mocked for saying that we would be getting a decent amount of ice after 18z. I just wish that when people are missing out on a storm that they didn’t try to downplay it or belittle it for others that are being affected. This forum is a lot bigger than the immediate coast. NorthShoreWx
Down to 31 here. Don't think its freezing on much yet, but with several more hours of showery weather to go, it's a good night to stay in.
SnoSki14
It's still 35F in Somerset with precip almost over. Surprised that it's lower for places to my NE Was happy that it was all rain here though.

jm1220
All cold surfaces glazed here. My deck is a sheet of ice. Pavement still wet. Nearest station's at 29.5 degrees. BxSnowWx37
It's a funky setup but we might actually get some snow overnight. Not that it's any better with a coating snow on black ice...
NorthShoreWx
Just freezing drizzle now (down to 30°), but the next batch of showers in a half hour or so will really get things icy on a good chunk of the island west of roughly PJ - Patchogue, and maybe by then a little east of there too. Caveat is west end could start to see some sleet.
