Definitely less than expected on wind gusts by 5-9MPH across the board entire subforum. Too much isothermal, maybe not enough defined lines of convection. Models still going for a Saturday afternoon snow squall, sharply falling temps (down 10F between roughly 1P-6P) along with nw wind gusts 35-45KT Sat afternoon. Slippery stretches I84 contingent. HOW SQUALL LINE LOOKED AS IT PASSED US BACK AROUND 6:40AM: Today: Falling T's to 40 by sunset---29 by tomorrow AM, wind w. to nw. and breezy, clearing skies. GFS still turning some 4" of precip., into 15" of snow over the next 16 days. The 17° hourly record temperature drop EWR earlier the month set a new record for February. This was followed up by a top 10 two day temperature rise of 52° this week to record highs.
