WIN
About 6 inches. Finally into some heavier snow within last hour. Been light almost entire time until now. I'm guessing my ratios are pretty good
the_other_guy
Still not at 5 inches on stick yet, but the photo shows a lot more than that. Any good advice on how to measure this type of snow????

Some people here are still terrified of a blizzard and they're like dude it's STILL snowing and I'm like relax, we aren't getting that here. Calm down. You'd be surprised how many people are terrified of snow.

Any good advice on how to measure this type of snow???? An average of at least several measurements in an area that is flat, and away from any roofs and such. That's probably the best we could do when it's very windy.

Trust me, it’s legit.

I am over by 29th and Ditmars. Where my car is parked, left hand side of the street, there is virtually no snow around it, and very little snow on it. The right hand side cars are buried deep. I can't even get an accurate snow depth measurement due to all the blowing and drifting snow. Go to be at least 10".

eduggs
Measured about 3.5" in central Morris County. Relatively minor impact here. Only light snow observed. Could be a little subsidence going on locally. It has been a winter of light events. But it has been a perfect Saturday morning for long snow walks!

lee59
This storm definitely has one thing most ,if not all, the other heavy snowstorms have not had, the frigid temperatures. The snow is just blowing all over. 14 degrees and falling all morning.
CPcantmeasuresnow
8 inches up here in Eastern Orange County NY, 11° and moderate snow down a lot from the heavier we received the last two hours. About a foot on the ground now. I know other totals south and east are prolific but if I get to 10 it's an over performer for sure up here, actually it already is.

That's more than double what I have. Must be some downsloping off the highlands? 8" is pretty significant snow. Nothing like that around here.
