Enjoy it man!  Memorable one for you guys out there.

LOL I picked up 1/2 in 2 hours....way it goes. Some people here are still terrified of a blizzard and they're like dude it's STILL snowing and I'm like relax, we aren't getting that here. Calm down. You'd be surprised how many people are terrified of snow.

Still not at 5 inches on stick yet, but the photo shows a lot more than that.

Any good advice on how to measure this type of snow???? :)

You know despite your distance north, your totals aren't far off from mine, and I'm closer to the big show. I didn't figure on you folks seeing that much up there.

An average of at least several measurements in an area that is flat, and away from any roofs and such. That's probably the best we could do when it's very windy.

Get a measuring tape. Start at the bottom step and measure to the top. Trust me, it’s legit.

Astoria Park, the winds are so strong off the East River there's no snow on the hill leading down to the water.

I am over by 29th and Ditmars. Where my car is parked, left hand side of the street, there is virtually no snow around it, and very little snow on it. The right hand side cars are buried deep. I can't even get an accurate snow depth measurement due to all the blowing and drifting snow. Go to be at least 10".

Measured about 3.5" in central Morris County. Relatively minor impact here. Only light snow observed. Could be a little subsidence going on locally. It has been a winter of light events.

But it has been a perfect Saturday morning for long snow walks! :D

Yup.  Enough for a jebwalk or two.  We will get “ours” again eventually.

8 inches up here in Eastern Orange County NY, 11° and moderate snow down a lot from the heavier we received the last two hours. About a foot on the ground now.

I know other totals south and east are prolific but if I get to 10 it's an over performer for sure up here, actually it already is.

Wow, nice! That's more than double what I have. Must be some downsloping off the highlands? 8" is pretty significant snow. Nothing like that around here.

There's no way for me to accurately report a total so I'm just going to go with whatever ISP says.  20"+

Glad you put the towel away last eve! 20”+ here too just to your west
