Yup.  Weak sauce up here in Union County.  Maybe six or seven inches.  This was a significant event but nothing more here in Central/Northern Jersey.

Glad for LI and Coastal crew.  Hope we get something else big over next six weeks for those that missed out.

I wonder if we go lower than forecast for tonight, it's currently 17 in NYC, forecast low of 13? I can see how we tick up a few degrees if we break into some sunshine later this afternoon, however it's also currently only 5 at Mount Pocono (about a 100 miles northwest from the bird's eye).

Lots of talk on snow, but people who may be waiting to shovel snow tonight, or go out and about believing the storm is done for their Saturday night, would be putting themselves at risk; can imagine stranded or immovable vehicles, and with these temperatures, that would be foreboding.

Frigid/hypothermia inducing temperatures is less sensible than snowfall. People could be putting their lives at risk. I hope the media and we do well to inform others as needed.

3KM HRRR early morning temperatures for Sunday.

We definitely have quite a bit more than 4 considering the size of the drifts. At least 6. Measuring is very difficult obviously. I actually have us close to 7 now but it's tough to be exact. RU848789 is in Metuchen (not too far away) and he is excellent at measuring, and reported 6 and a quarter inches a couple hours ago. So I think I'm pretty close with the near 7 measurement I had a little while ago. Too bad we missed the much bigger amounts, but this is still a very nice warning level storm for our area. We have a couple more hours of snow to go too.

Who could blame her,,,I have to get out there with my dog now I will let you know if we break your record of 30 seconds

The felines, on days like today, are thankful for the liter box services provided by their servants. As always ….
