BxSnowWx37
There is going to be a wicked deform band over the metro soon. Everything is sharpening up on radar and still creeping west.

dWave
How far west has acclumating snow reached? Some radars look ok, and some look horrible with some snow back to eastern Bx and central Queens but not much more than flurries west of the East River/Harlem River. Or does it not pick up this dry powdery stuff well? I'd expect more people freaking out lol Tough to measure but 7 or 8" maybe

eduggs
Interesting mesoscale enhancement in the terrain of the Catskills and Taconics and also a mesoscale band in central NJ. Maybe a little downsloping in parts of NNJ. Pretty minor event up here so far.

weathermedic
Just looking at traffic cams, you can see the difference from Manhattan which has much better visibility than Brooklyn and Queens and across Long Island. https://511ny.org/map#TransitRegion-8
hooralph
C’mon… c’mon… come to daddy… animation was too big to post, but better returns are just backing into Manhattan now. 1
eduggs
The heavy snow bands with this really set up exactly where we expected for the past few days. No big surprises so far unlike previous storms. Looks beautiful for the immediate NJ shore across to most of LI. Wow! And it's such a static radar so no worry that the band will quickly move through.

Now I have to drive to Ronkonkoma train yard and supposedly run a train to Greenport… but I doubt that will happen.
