...Heavy snow will continue through the morning with near to
blizzard conditions...

Snowfall rates will continue to increase through day break across
the region. Rates of 1 to 2 inches an hour are possible, locally
up to 3 inches an hour. Strong winds will create blowing and
drifting of snow. These conditions may persist into the early
afternoon.

Travel is strongly discouraged! If you must travel, bring a
winter survival kit. If you become stranded, stay with your
vehicle.

Intense band along Jersey shore having trouble making it west of GSP and looks like starting to pivot move N to S.  Absolute of heaviest snow likely over west of NJ Tpk., north of 78 and west of 287.  That is the absolute heaviest...still some snow left to fall those locations but north of 80 and west of 287 not much additional.

Any official measurements from Upton for the area ?

It's really hard to measure due to blowing and drifting. I have 7 or 8".

Someone in Ocean County will get a lollipop of 2 foot of powder.. rates are INSANE right now.  3 more hours of this will give someone 8 additional inches.

Not sure about 24"...but 18" seems certain for locations near and east of GSP.  Band not making additional westward progress.

You may be right.  Not sure we will get accurate measurements.   That 12.5 in Forked river was almost 2 hours ago and we are still getting 2-3 inch an hour.  Who knows.  Good storm.

Wantage NJ (this part) yesterday 830-5P. Trace with probably 1/2" melting as it fell with daytime temps near 30.  Moisture froze on untreated surfaces at sundown. Snow redeveloped around 9P and as of 6A a densely packed small flake snow of 2.5" so far, easy to remove.
