Hardest I’ve seen in snow here in White Plains. Hopefully we get into some decent banding for a little while longer.

It's been snowing hard for close to 4 hours now..it should keep snowing for a while. The 10+ inch line just about runs from Brooklyn up the bqe thru Central queens and the bx..its puking snow atm and the winds have picked up again.!!..you should be close to 7-8 by now..

Still snowing strong here in south/central Nassau, visibility is poor and winds are kicking still. If I had to guess id say theres gotta be at least 12-13 inches on the ground already with no signs of it letting up soon.

About 8” on the uws. Probably not going to make a foot but 10” is within reach. With all the blowing and drifting it seems allot more impactful then a normal 8” storm

I think its closer to 9. But what's a inch or 2..the 10 inch line is literally 10 or less miles east of you and incoming.

I wonder if we go lower than forecast for tonight, it's currently 17 in NYC, forecast low of 13? I can see how we tick up a few degrees if we break into some sunshine later this afternoon, however it's also currently only 5 at Mount Pocono (about a 100 miles northwest from the bird's eye).

Lots of talk on snow, but people who may be waiting to shovel snow tonight, or go out and about believing the storm is done for their Saturday night, would be putting themselves at risk; can imagine stranded or immovable vehicles, and with these temperatures, that would be foreboding.

Frigid/hypothermia inducing temperatures is less sensible than snowfall. People could be putting their lives at risk. I hope the media and we do well to inform others as needed.
