The snow shield is pretty big on radar. It certainly wasn't modeled this size any where. Future radar tries to mostly dry it up but not sure if that will happen or not. But it looks like it's snowing into western areas still and down into Alabama.

There's around 4 inches going to Pleasant Hill. Crazy. Not bad for 2 hours. Not as much where I live because the band scooter just west

Congrats, enjoy it. 2" per hour??? Man, It really sucks in the valley, even more these days

I am right in the middle of the valley the worst place to be in these type of events.  It seems we do better when there is a more north component or even an east north east run that comes right down the valley but they are very rare.

We had a 10 minute moderate snow shower with temps in the mid thirties. All gone now. Even that is overperforming for NW flow here though.

I’ve already decided I’m retiring to Wise, VA or Roan Mountain. 22 years to go per my plan though.

Just returned home in Ooltewah. Stopped.snowing here as soon as I pulled into the driveway. Go figure. Light dusting here. I was on Hwy 58 about 10 minutes away and it went from nothing to 20 seconds of flurries to a heavy snow. It started sticking in a matter of a few minutes. By the time I got home it was coming to a stop. It was just like a pop up summer thunderstorm while you were under it, only white.

Also, car temp.showed 39° and within 10 minutes had dropped to 33°.

Geat pics.  There is nothing more beautiful than a freshly fallen snow right at sunset where everything is covered.  Wow.  Truly blessed.

Decided to watch some TV while waiting on the band to come through. It is absolutely pouring snow here now. I bet it would nearly be a whiteout if it were daylight  (it actually got harder after this video).
