Hopefully this band holds together as it comes off the plateau. I wasn't really paying attention but I feel like I've almost up to an inch now in just half an hour.

Friend in Oneida in the same band as Holston said its a blizzard there. So close, yet so far!

It really was. I had kinda just "turned off" so to speak from watching it and just tuned out. Looked out and there was already half an inch. I'd say I'm at just barely under and inch now, and all from that one band now moving off the plateau

It's slowly trying to move east. I'm not sure if it's broken or not from the stuff in Kentucky or if that's just a blank spot in the radar coverage over McCreary County. If it's not a blank radar spot it's probably going to be south of me before it gets far enough East. For points South it looks like it's surviving moving off the Plateau so you guys in Anderson and West Knox will probably get in on it.

I'm at home in Tellico..not even a flurry lol. Sweetwater is snowing...snow on sides of the road and parking lots are white.

Maybe you’ll pick up some overnight, very odd for Athens to get dumped on with NW flow and Tellico nothing!

Nothing like you folks NE of us are getting but it started back again in Ooltewah hot and heavy. Taken from our back patio and then front porch. Pretty to look at considering we're part of Chattanooga.

Up on Skyway and Coker Creek do ok in these, town very rarely scores

Same here sitting at half inch in Ten Mile. Roads including main state routes between Athens and Ten Mile were white in a lot of spots on my drive just a little bit ago.

That large area of snow in the band is heading right for me but I am use to seeing them go poof right as they get to my house we will see soon.

The band reloaded over Oneida, I expect Holston will get another round from it. It's just dying out a couple miles West of me so far. Barely snowed any here in 2+ hours.

Made it but had to detour once around a closed road due to multiple car accident....... Basically unable to see road because covered with two or three inches of packed snow. Still coming down at home and temperature at 21

After that last post I looked out and its light snow again. But just the edge of the band is clipping me. Hopefully future radar is correct, it has snow moving back in around 9 and lasting til 3am. 

Downstream of me is N and E Knoxville, Jefferson etc. So hopefully it fills in for us all soon.

Unfortunately for areas that haven't gotten in on it yet, it looks like it's dying off some in Kentucky, but as I've said many times this evening, could be that it's just going into poor radar coverage in Southern Kentucky.

I’m seeing plenty of areas with white grass on the TDOT cameras around town. Unfortunately I don’t live in one of those areas. Bone dry here.

I now have that band over my house and nada.  Dry as a bone at the surface.  NW events just never happen in my area  Down slope gets us just as it hits the middle of the valley.

Our yard is white in Ooltewah. Obviously not deep, 1/2" on ground and an inch on car tops and grills. 100% more than I expected from this.

Edit to add: I had to use night vision in my phone because it was blurry otherwise.

I use to live in Cleveland and have now lived in Knoxville for 16 years.  I always thought knoxville got more snow than Cleveland but since I have been here that has not been the case.  My parents have had more snow than we have had at least in the last 16 years.

Just took the dog out for a pee and almost fell on my arse. Snowing nicely here in Oak Ridge and the ground is coated. Everyone be careful out there; it's slickery!
