Furrawn
Light tiny snowflakes falling here. 32 degrees in Newtown. If anyone feels like an ELI5, why would snowflakes be tiny when it’s 32 degrees? I thought snowflakes tend to be larger because they tend to be stickier (and thus more likely to attach to other snowflakes) when falling through the air at warmer temps like 32 degrees.

Sorry meant to include sticking to all surfaces. Maybe half inch or so so far. Snow is moderate. Not sure how best to upload a photo taken from my phone. Seems it's always too large

The Iceman
Had to drive my girlfriend down to northeast Philly so she could take care of the cats she’s pet sitting and side roads are already beginning to cave with moderate snow. The boulevard though is just mostly wet. Looks to to be at least an inch already down here but I’m just eye balling. 2

I thought you had more elevation (over 400 ft.), although in this case I don't think it has much to do with elevation. Some of Glen Mills does have elevation. Glen Mills School sits at over 400 ft. I'm about a mile away and I'm down around 250 ft. It's pretty hilly around me. Not complaining -- I'll take what I can get! -- but I've always wondered about what process creates that variability in such a close range. Very light snow at the moment and hanging right at 31F. Man you picked a great spot to chase. Hit the casinos and walk out on the boardwalk to experience blizzard conditions. Sounds like a great time. LVblizzard
Storm definitely seems more juiced so far, especially when comparing the current radar to the hot garbage that was the 18z model suite.
