high risk
18Z GFS looks much different than the 18Z NAM that had us throwing ourselves over the cliff last hour. Stronger, more phased wave and higher heights out front. Not saying that this will put the coastal low in a favorable spot for us, but it should hopefully retain our Friday evening/night snow here.
mattie g
The "energy tail" is stretched again at 48, but need to give it a couple more frames to see if that energy in Canada can dive in behind and help tilt the vort.

Roger Smith
My theory is that it snowed in 1888 because they didn't have weather models. Change my mind. 2
TSSN+
Can’t say I’m surprised the models did this again… but like come on this is ridiculous.

CAPE
One thing I have noticed mostly while looking at the means is the area of low pressure sitting there NE of Florida. Not paid much attention to it really, but the 18z NAM certainly did- seems to have suddenly made it integral to the development of the coastal low this run. I am just catching up so maybe this was mentioned, but seems like it completely lost it's mind here.
