6" is already a win and I was glad to see your obs this AM.  We'll see how Charlemont did shortly... thinking pretty well.

I imagine the hills got smoked.  I was getting those bursts of going over to tiny dendrite, fog type snow, with the good wind gusts. That usually mean up over 1k they are getting pounded.  Past 2 hours had some of the heaviest snow rates I have seen in a while.  Probably since Dec 2020.

It probably will be, but man it's close. It's a shit sandwich, but a lot of the forecast soundings are just on the verge of being supportive of snow at PWM when the bulk of the precip comes through. Maybe we get lucky a rip 2 or 3 inches in one hour before the flip.

Just got up, but it appears that I went straight to rain. 37/35, wind ripping.

What’s a +40 24-hour swing among friends??

At work now, but looking at PWSs online and my neighborhood went from 22 to 35 in like 15 minutes.

Security cam may have fogged up when the temp spiked too.

SN starting to mix with RN here, just SE of Townsend center. Closing in on 6". 32F. An apparent meso low of sorts just east of us kept winds NW most of the night, now light E. Pleasant surprise to be on the giving side of the storm for a change.

Edit: changed to all RN just after 7 AM. 6" total. Temp just edging above 32F.

Pretty intense conditions with strong winds and very low viz.

Not much wind here, but you’re 29° and CON is 30° so you must be out of the wedge now and able to mix some of that wind down. I didn’t think it’d be that windy before the changeover so that’s pretty cool.
