You could probably literally take any model ensemble mean at day 10 from October to April and have it show a few inches of snow.

Nice, yesterday really busted here cold wise was supposed to be lows in the teens and highs in the 20s.  Ended up high 35, low 21.  Today low 19 high 41 so far.

There is some stuff around, no doubt, but it's small refresher systems. Hopefully a bigger dog emerges soon. 

I am glad I have thick snow cover now and it will be cold. Skiing should be good the next week.

Dead and brown with soaked ground and temps in the 40s is far more dreary to me than thick snow cover and cold temps this time of year. To each his own though.

Unfortunately I've got dead and brown with frozen ground, patches and piles, and 34F .  10 miles away is another world.

It brightens everything up.

There is a reason we go back to MD from mid-Oct to mid-Nov and mid-Apr to mid-May. It's just bad in NNE. Dead and muddy. Reminds us of MD in Dec/Jan/Feb. Not sure why someone would actively enjoy that kind of weather, but it takes all kinds I guess.

47 and sunny with no brown here. Just fired up the lawn thread as I did my first lawn work today pulling weeds under the deck.

I have about 2 inches of crusty snow but the towns north me with higher elevation have decent snow covering and the snow was blowing around yesterday. I love those days when snow blows and drifts and its cold, that's winter.
