2.6" as of 5:45pm, right before sleet took over. All in all the storm definitely met expectations with several hours of SN/SN+. Feels like it's been ages since we've had a cold temps Colorado powder type event, and this definitely delivered.

Oh, and that makes 12.9" of snow so far on the winter. Snowiest through Jan 16th since.. 09/10 :pepsi:

Props to the HRRR really nailed the transition time

It nailed start time too. Didn’t waver much all day. The hour before the mix is the heaviest snows, then it will pour sleet for a bit before the change to rain.

Maybe we get to 3 inches? It’s gorgeous out.

I’m gonna have to walk out to the yard to get a good measure. My usual go to is getting wind blown so not accurate, gonna wait just before the sleet hits.

2.8" for the total here in Herndon before the flip.

IAD was at 23F at 6:00pm.

...

Now IAD has rocketed up to 30F as of 7:04pm est.

Same up here in Great Falls. Now 30.4 and climbing steadily. Light ZR.

For snow/sleet accumulation, right at 3” before the changeover.
