Yesterday was a nice little appetizer of a snow fix .

The ol'  DGEX was always a lock for digital snow every run  but alas ....its gone :weep:

Up until the last year or two, the GFS/Fv3 always had something for us as well.  Mostly digital only and eventually fleeting.  Now the GFS is like the voice of reason.  Ha.

Basically no chance of MDT breaking a record today.  That stands as the warmest ever recorded temp in Dec (tied) of 75 in 1984.  There are some days in Dec where the records are closer to what the HRRR is showing today in the low to mid 50's.   MDT does have two days with record highs this month in the 16th and 17th.

MDT still has dates with record highs in the 50s? Every day of the year has reached 60 at least once here.

Dec 27th has a high of 59 and several days where the highs are 60-63.    Two days in Feb where it has not reached 60.

There are four calendar days in Harrisburg's history that have failed to reach 60:  12/27 (59 in 2016), 1/10 (58 in 2016), 2/2 (59 in 1988), and 2/7 (57 in 2009)

It looks like 2021 will conclude without a record low at MDT, though if I recall correctly, there were record cold highs on Memorial Day weekend.

Correct.  Memorial Day Weekend was extremely cold and dreary.  Set two record low highs.  On May 29th we topped out at 52, smashing the previous record of 57 from 1990.  The next day we reached 56, breaking the record of 58 from 1953.
