Bubbler86
18Z is quite wintery looking for the Thursday-Friday system. 2-3" of snow to start for the upper part of the LSV, with temps in the mid 20's, then a nighttime sleet bomb with temps in the upper 20's.

NAM really doubling down on the ice threat. Timing would maximize the potential.

Those 2M temps are the key...colder than several other suites. Rgem has ice too but its in the 30's. Snoozers.

Even at it's best depiction, we were on the southern fringe of the best snows on the GFS - yeah, that often works out well for us. I'd rather the snow show up to our south than north. Come on now. You should know the routine by now. Any snow modeled south stays south. Any snow modeled to hit us squarely goes north. It how we roll...lol

I agree, I like where the Sunday system is sitting at this time. With the Thursday/Friday storm, we were once on the southern edge of the snow bullseye, and now it looks like congrats to I-90 to Massachusetts. For the Sunday chance, we are on the northern & western fringe currently with 6 days to go. Let’s reel this Sunday chance in!

MAG5035
These popped up on my picture memories, what a difference a year makes haha. I took these a few miles up the road on this date last year. For today day though, there’s just a few piles around (the yard is completely clear) and the high here was 62ºF.
Blizzard of 93
The 0z RGEM ends with Harrisburg at 28 degrees at 7am on Friday with sleet changing over to freezing rain. Heavy amounts of sleet get put down this run between the turnpike & I-80.
Ruin
I'd rather have a cold rain or the store miss us at this point I don't like ice none of us like ice it's a waste of cold air to have ice no snow just give me a cold normal rain
Blizzard of 93
The 0z GFS brings more sleet than prior recent runs between the turnpike & I-80 followed by a prolonged period of freezing rain. Temps don’t rise to above freezing until around 10am Friday according to this run.
Blizzard of 93
Still a couple of days to go to get this to trend back to a couple of front end inches of snow in parts of the LSV before the icy mix wins out.

Blizzard of 93
It will be interesting the next 2 days to see how the short range models forecast the final lines for the snow, sleet & freezing rain and temperatures for Thursday/Friday.
