weatherbo
FWIW, the IWX office just a few miles from here has recorded 21" so far. I don't record mine (unless it's a hefty storm) and just go by theirs since I'm so close. Not a bad start.

weatherbo
And the amazing thing is that I have only had 8.5" of snow so far and only live 15 miles southwest of the office. Yeah, over the year's I've noticed a huge difference between here and Warsaw, and even bigger difference in the far southern part of the County around Silver Lake, where they rarely receive any substantial LE. BTW, great call on the last storm/LE..... Even drinking, and 300 miles away you beat the office jus' sayn'... haha

I'm 30 nm SSE of your office and have 7.5" for the year. Even FWA, 15 miles NE of me, has 10.4". Good ol' LES variations.

bowtie`
I realize that all the other locations are probably laughing at KIND's totals but it has been a month to remember here. I bet most the other years there was at least one massive dump. This year has been full of over-performing clippers. Not the usual way to get alot of snow in this area. Getting 2 to 4 constantly versus a single 10 to 12 in dump all-at-once.

A vast majority of the central eastern lakes from Milwaukee, all of lower and eastern upper Michigan, the non snow belts of Ontario, east to BUF and along Lake Erie down to ERI, CLE, and TOL are below normal. The dearth of synoptic snow has been mind boggling. It approaches Dec 2006 levels of futility, but that month was uber warm at least.

snowstormcanuck
only 13 inches of snow in ottawa so far, about 30% of normal life under the block Pearson's at 2.8", which off the top of my head, is roughly about 20% of normal. No snow in sight for at least 10 days. Don Sutherland is a gifted prognosticator, but I'm not buying his near normal snowfall for Toronto in January. He adduced similar compelling evidence for March 2010 and it translated into diddly- squat. To import a DT phrase, Toronto is Canada's snow anus. Chicago WX
Does anyone know whether CVG, DAY, or CMH are in the top ten? I'm sure at least CVG is -- they've had almost 17 inches this month. I can't find that info on the ILN website, although I thought they used to have it available. CVG has to be in the top 10, but I have yet to find any info about that from ILN's website either. Still searching...
Jim Martin
Our biggest snowfall so far this winter was 1.8" back on the 10th of December.
Organizing Low
Pearson's at 2.8", which off the top of my head, is roughly about 20% of normal. No snow in sight for at least 10 days. Don Sutherland is a gifted prognosticator, but I'm not buying his near normal snowfall for Toronto in January. He adduced similar compelling evidence for March 2010 and it translated into diddly- squat. To import a DT phrase, Toronto is Canada's snow anus. oh there's no disputing that toronto is the snow anus i thought we were getting payback for 07-08. but considering that winter all but disappeared around these part since the feb 09 Nonstorm debacle......thats going on basically 2 years now. so today it dawned on me....i think we are past payback, and now we are owed some. hard times for sure

And as I posted either earlier in this thread, or in another one, since 1993-94 Toronto is running a 72.5" snowfall deficit. And if you add in the "snowless '80s", that deficit is probably even bigger. So mother nature, even taking into account 07/08 and 08/09, is still deeply indebted to the snow lovers of the big smoke.
