John1122
Power outages are getting widespread here. I'm lucky to have it. I'll credit last years wet snow and freezing fog for breaking out a lot of weak limbs and trees.
Kentucky
Power restored, now the fiber is out. Getting concerned about the wind now. The freezing rain earlier in the day, assured the snow would stick like glue.
RawCrabMeat
I think we picked up a wet inch
Jed33
Really coming down again here. Somewhere between 0.5-0.75in right now. I struggled mightily this evening to try to get under any bands, but there was a steady light snow of fine flakes. Finally a decent band is moving over. Maybe I’ll make it to an inch.
Silas Lang
I think some may luck out with the nwf showers in the am as well. Still a lot of leftover moisture from the main system.
PowellVolz
Sill coming down. Very fine flakes but pouring .
brewman22001
We now have 4 inches in Lenoir City and it’s still coming down!! This system is a win!! It’s definitely preformed much better than I thought it would and hopefully this is a start of a very exciting couple of weeks!!
bearman
I Am going to call this one for me been fun.. I believe I ended up with around 2 inches and white roads so I will call it a win. Until next time.

I thought you were probably getting pounded with that band. 2 on grass here, but shave some off to be accurate. Slushy roads, travel not great apparently. Strong winds and some fine powder blowing around. It might be a skating rink tomorrow on the places they don't salt

Silas Lang
Good news for tomorrow. According to MRX: Outside of the mountains on Monday, low temperatures should be below normal levels given snow pack, even went below guidance for the fcst. Otherwise, expecting a cloudy typical northwest flow day with light snow showers over the northern plateau and central/northern valley with afternoon highs struggling to top the freezing mark north of I40 (and any higher terrain across the mountains/plateau), with low/mid 30s southward in the valley. Given these expecting temperatures, would expect lingering roadways hazards due to remnant snowpack for much of the area that receives ample snowfall tonight.

Stovepipe
I finally got under that second band and it's not living up to radar expectations relative to the previous one. Tiny flake flizzard stuff but can't complain. With minimal cold air to deal with this has been a win. I expect roads to not be that bad in Knoxville proper tomorrow. Side roads, all bets are off. It's pretty out!

John1122
The clipper/trailing energy is still rolling this way too. Hopefully it squeezes out 1/2 to 1 inch.

I’m fairly optimistic for some additional snow in the morning in parts of the area. The soundings are encouraging on the 00z 3km NAM. There’s not a lot of moisture to work with, but the northwest flow, combined with 850mb temps dropping to around or below -10C (steepening low level lapse rates), is usually pretty good at squeezing out precipitation in these situations. It obviously varies across the region, but the foothills areas in NE TN can do okay in these setups.
John1122
Down to a few flurries now. Gonna clear off a spot and see if I add any snow overnight but don't expect much more. Hate it for everyone who ended up on bust for this one. I was in that boat too but got bailed out by the back side. On to snow showers tomorrow and the next system Wednesday that may work out for some of us.
Jed33
Up to 1.25in now and still snowing pretty good. Much better than I was expecting honestly it took forever for it to ever materialize here!
TellicoWx
Picked up around 1.5" before it melted down to .5" for first round...then this evening band put down another 2.5". So 4" overall...close to what most short range models had for me.
EastKnox
This thread will probably start winding down, but it happens to be the most "replied to" thread for a single storm in the 9 pages that I can browse back to 2013. Nice to see the activity. I hope we get a storm big enough to top 2k on a single storm thread.
