Was out for the sunrise this morning. Hoping on some edge dynamics with the dry slot rotating through after the frontal passage and before/as the upper low gunk rolled in. Took an image from the four major compass directions.

 

Starting off looking to the east. There was some ponding of water in the field right next to the fairgrounds, While I was still on grass, could not stay there long. Was sinking in, had to get my shot and run back to the road and asphalt. Taken with the GND and the 24-70mm at 44mm...

Had some out of the ordinary this evening. Retrograding cirrus. It was moving east to west. Now, low clouds do this all the time. I do not recall retrograding cirrus happening very often.

Tonight, I figured the dry air would win and there would be nothing. I as a little wrong and had to hustle to the municipal lot.

This is from the evening of 6-1. I am only 10 days behind now. I do remember that I was coming down with a head cold so I was not going to go out and shoot the sunset. Of course I caved at the last moment and just ran around a block from the house trying to play avoid the powerlines and buildings.
