gman
I love the GSP NWS, but they seem defensive and confused with this storm. They posted a tweet in the last few hours with a graphic that only shows a Winter Storm Warning in the mountains of Greenville County.

AirNelson39
Brad P just put out his final call maps. Really backed off totals for foothills. 2-4” for most of the foothills and 4-6” for immediate escarpment. I’m hoping latest GFS busts his forecast. Major major let down if the foothills do indeed get 2-4”
burrel2
Just when I think the Hrrr can't get any better; it spits out this non sense. Upstate, SC... let's go!!! I'm honestly going to be very... very surprised if Oconee/Pickens/Greenville doesn't get at least 3-4 inches at this point. The writing is on the wall, front end thump incoming! 3

UpStateCAD
So almost all of the short range models (HRRR, RAP, etc) except the NAM are showing 6+ in for the upstate??

His freezing rain map only has .05"-.15" of freezing rain. This would only capture about .5-.75 inches of precip falling to match these totals.

I think it because in his earlier videos he said that it would be heavy precip and that would affect ice accumulation. He said light to moderate precip would result in higher ice totals. olafminesaw
If I were a betting man, I'd bet on higher sleet totals and lower qpf, leading to only .1-.2" acreation in the triad
