If this wave had dug a little more south and west we would be a looking at truly historic storm on the 18z GFS from Atlanta up through Raleigh.  Temps aren't an issue for most and just a little more digging would really get the gulf involved.

I  won't be greedy though, i'll take it verbatim.

Temps falling into the 20's during the height of it too  :weight_lift:   It's soooooooo close for the granddaddy of them all, but I'll be stoked just to make a snow angel

Usually the Kuchera is lower than the regular run. Must be some awesomw rates. Glad to see the GFS actually go bigger after the last ICON run went north.

Surface temperatures are in the mid-20's. Definitely not a storm that we would need to deal with a lack of cold air if the more southerly tracks verify.

I haven't had a good snow since January 2018 and next week I'll be in Disney. With my luck, you will all get blasted all the way to the coast. Good luck!

I’m actually flying out a week from today to Disney as well. Hoping for a big snow to send us off.

The top CIPS analog is amazing. This is GSP's account of that event "The second snowstorm within a week caused excitement in North Carolina. Up to a foot of snow was reported in some of the mountains with most mountain and foothill locations receiving 3 to 6 inches. In the piedmont, there was more of a mixture of ice with minimal ice storm conditions reported in and around the Charlotte area. There were some power outages and numerous traffic accidents." :snowing:

Like this look for the south. Lots of energy rolling through and enough cold air. Even with the Euro solution from 12z it's a good look at this range. Split the difference and it's still a six inch snow storm! Can offer PBP for the Euro at 00z if it's looking good over the next few days.

Good to have you in for this one. Hope all is well.

That would be awesome.
