TellicoWx
This is a pws on Dayton Mtn (1250'), can see as the virga moved in, its pulling the 850s down (temp rising quicker) 1
PowellVolz
As far as my area, can confirm the 850s are rising. Valley areas here are sitting around 32, but the mountains are running 35-36 above 1500-2000'Ober is at 32 and reporting light snow but yes, 850’s are going to screw the eastern valley/foothills. I’m looking at the American flag on top of the tallest building in Knoxville and winds are out of the NNE. Temp is 32-33 in N Knox Co
fountainguy97
I wouldn't bet against the HRRR at this point. watch it's trends for the Eastern Valley. It did jump some in accumulations this last run for those areas. I think Eastern areas want as much backside snow as possible.

Windspeed
We've got some nice cloudcover right now over KTRI and 35° currently. Hoping the coverage can limit any significant temp gains. The high was forecast to reach 40°. But I don't think we'll make it. Also hopeful the 850 nose becomes quite limited. Anything to muster 3" totals for the event this evening. I am liking our chances.

McMinnWx
Latest HRRR brings the precip a little further south for my area, albeit just a little. I'll take whatever snow I can get.

Shocker0
TWC had me at only 2.1" this morning on the hourly forecast and now says this. Hopefully it will move east and lay down a lot too then.

PowellVolz
So are we looking at more of sleet/mixing issues in that case?.No way of knowing what the temps are above Knoxville but at 5k ft in the mountains it’s 45 degrees. That’s a cold rain at that temps.
