I've seen occasional run cycles where all guidance hiccups, and shows something odd before reverting back 6hrs later. This did seem like a pretty big jump from whats been shown the past several days. I agree with this normally but in an exigent circumstance like this the fact that the Euro is digging harder now and showing some semblance of producing a GFS like event wrt Synoptics you can’t help but get cautiously optimistic. Told Ian yesterday going to remain positive for this one.

Monday went from sunny this morning, to 20% chance this afternoon, to 50% of light snow this evening. Can’t wait for the winter storm warning after tomorrow night’s euro. 2

caviman2201
Technically next up is the LR HRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR but i dunno if anyone cares about that. Its running now - not seeing any noteworthy changes at 500, but then again this was already the snowiest model at 18z, so maybe thats a good thing? Lol Although with the other guidance ticking in the right direction at this range (as opposed to staying put), that would be a bit strange. SnowLover22
I know it is the long range HRRR but looking at the 00z run at 20 hours. Energy seems to be held back more near Texas with there being less confluence to the Northeast. Edit: ninja'd dammit.
