CoolMikeWx
Considering how "accurate" the GFS has been in this time frame as of recent.. if this doesn't partially confirm in some form.. it'll be upsetting lol.

I was thinking the same thing. The GFS has been the best this season at sniffing out systems and their location.

A lifetime to go but that was fun. …need a cigarette and I don’t smoke.

We seem to have an uncanny ability to get slammed on the day we always plan to come home on every year from a snowmobile trip.. one trip usually this time or early February and we have to stay another day. I swear it's happened the last three years. Not complaining but this would be nutso. P.S. TugHillMatt
If this happened, it would be one of the biggest region-wide systems along the East coast in years. Lots of happy weenies across the subs. The only ones screwed would be those east of the Fall Line.

rochesterdave
It could always cut or OTS but all the ingredients have been there for a couple weeks. And in the mean time some sneaky LES. I’ll take. ;p
Syrmax
I will say this. Those of us old enough to remember winter 1989/90...it did an amazing flip literally right on the New Year. I was living in SE CT...near historic cold late Nov/Dec with snows. NYE there was a snow->rain system and after that the rest of winter was mild AF. Complete 180. I remember that timeframe well for work related reasons. Maybe Ma Nature does me a solid this time...
CNY_WX
Remember it’s still a week out. Even the superstorm of 1993 wasn’t well modeled until 3 or 4 days out.
