DeltaT13
Man it was a balmy 52 degrees and then the lake breeze came plowing through and dropped us 10 degrees in 30 minutes.

BuffaloWeather
The highest temperature on my drive back was 59 in Syracuse, a close second was 56 degrees in Blasdell. Sizzle sizzle. 1

This time period does look interesting to watch.
BuffaloWeather
Here is timelaspse video of the snowband from Saturday. The best video is coming up has some insane rates.
BuffaloWeather
Just incredible rates. Was so focused on driving my wife was video taping it. Had to be some 4-5" per in there.
BuffaloWeather
The worst visibility of the entire trip was actually in the Adirondacks where I almost went off the road. We were driving from lake placid up the mountain to jay peak and along the river we hit some crazy snowsqualls. Forward the video to 1 minute.
SouthBuffaloSteve
Nice video! The first 60 seconds what kind of speed were you maintaining? Looks like you were still coasting along at 30 maybe? Right at the 60 second mark that vehicle just appears so fast out of the snow. Driving on 81?

I'm not sure how fast I was going. 30 sounds about right. And yes 81. That day experienced the lowest visibility driving I've experienced this winter.
BuffaloWeather
We did a sunset hike last night and had some pretty high winds up top, enough to blow the wife over.
SouthBuffaloSteve
Both in good agreement of a decent snow squall rolling across upstate NY early Sunday afternoon. GFS already trying to show a pretty solid band... If this does trend to be the forecast this will be a must chase. Snow squall screaming across the lake with daylight this time.

Feels like a TN February being under a flood watch with these temps! Past several years we've been getting a freakin' monsoon down there starting in February and continuing through May. Just nonstop rain and lots of flooding. Quite the squall line moving through down there.
