Upstate/Eastern New York-Pattern Change Vs Tughill Curse?

Most March storms don't have snow last long as average temps by mid/late March are in the 40s. You need to move up to the Keeweenaw peninsula/Northern Maine/New Hampshire to get the winter you're after east of the rockies.

I know what you're saying, and I agree with you. However, these winters have been far from even being on the "weaker" side of average.

Canadian, for one run, trying to bring some hope for next week via several systems:

I've been eyeballing next weekend like a hawk as presidents day weekend is usually one of our big trips upstate and all i've been seeing (mostly) is rain. I hope this comes true and we see some changes over the next 3-5 days, would be dope to get dumped on again while up there!

And would be dope to see you guys get more snow of course :)

Thanks! Would be nice to see a cutter track further and further south (and get weaker, unfortunately) as we get closer in time. That has been one of the very few positives about this season.

Note: The GFS and Euro have both shifted further south for the end of next week from their 0Z runs. Perhaps we can keep pushing it south.

1”. Sounds awful. Delta and maybe Buf are the only members I can think of that would like this.

Yeah, we lost a week of snowmobiling because of the ice we got last Friday.  Trees/branches are either bent to the ground or broken and laying on the ground.  We actually needed this warmer weather to melt that ice, as crazy as that sounds for a winter enthusiast to say in February…..
