madwx
Nasty morning outside. Not much accumulation but major blowing and drifting on N/S country roads and temps falling to 12 at this moment

ChiTownSnow
People that love what they do: LOT "Seeing a classic horizontal convective rolls signature on DVN`s radar with fingers of more robust snow showers interspersed among flurries. Can`t totally rule out a tenth or two of snow accumulation, but main impact from falling snow will be to further reduce visibilities as it is whipping around by the 30-40 mph winds. Scattered snow showers will probably taper more to intermittent flurries this afternoon with flurries possibly linger well into tonight as it is not uncommon for flurries to leak from stratocumulus decks within these type of cold air masses." - Izzi

purduewx80
Have yet to see any blowing snow or accumulating snow in the city. There is barely 1-2" left that partially melted yesterday when it was above freezing for 12+ hours and then crusted over this morning.

WestMichigan
Wind and snow reducing visibility to under 1/4 mile at times. Roads are a mess after the slightly above freezing temperatures yesterday. Looks like it will be a fun ride home tonight. Hopefully we can keep the winds from turning too far NW longer than the models are predicting and get in on the LES for a longer period of time.
Brian D
About 6" from this system. Decent lake band very early this morning helped bring the total up. Snow winding down now.
vortex
The on air met at WGN stated this narrow band of snow between Peotone and Monee was Illinois River effect snow. Could get a few inches under that band. Interesting.

I've been watching the radar and thinking about my second home of West Michigan. It's been a while for you guys. Enjoy!

OrdIowPitMsp
About 2” of very powdery snow fell overnight and today along with strong northerly winds and falling temperatures. Days like today and tomorrow make me question why I choose a career where I work outside.
sbnwx85
Main lake bands stay to my north on this side of the lake through Thursday night. There should be some impressive totals under the main banding of snow in Michigan. Hoping to squeak out 2-4 here.
cyclone77
Pretty significant blowing snow out in the open areas today. Made it look (and feel) pretty legit. I'm gonna have to spend a whole day in the spring going around and picking up sticks/small branches from all the wind we've had the past month or so lol.

Frog Town
Getting blasted in mid February, if it happens at all, is just nothing like getting it in the dead of winter. SOS

frostfern
Closing in on a foot of depth and still ripping here in GRR. Feels good to be able to stop in and flex after such a long stretch of boring weather and covid hell.
frostfern
I wouldn't be surprised if any areas that manage to got clobbered in both the SW flow event yesterday and NW flow event today/tonight rack up some impressive 2 day totals. This is the best lake effect event in a LONG time here.

Our region has been blessed with a lot of great winters in the past few decades, but 2011-12 is always the poster child for an undesirable Winter. If this does not end as a decent snow season for Toledo, it still will be vastly different than 2012 with all of the cold coming.
