brianc33710
The time is now 12:16 CST. From what I can see Birmingham stayed above 70 all 24 hours NYD. I feel fairly certain we broke the record for warmest minimum temperature ever in meteorological winter! EDIT: Ive emailed BMX & James Spann but dont expect to hear back til the severe threat ends.

nrgjeff
Here are screenshots of video from near Muscle Shoals on New Year's Day. Two separate supercells produced rotating wall clouds, but I could not discern any touchdown. A middle second sup is not pictured because it was garbage. Thanks to @Fred Gossage excellent TV and radio commentary. First supercell near town about 3:30 pm Third supercell just south of town 5:00 pm 3

Uncle Nasty
Was wondering if yall get any snow where that low was tracking, saw it was bringing up a warm nose Negative Ghost Rider. Area mountains and everywhere north, south east and west got snow. All we had at our house was big heavy flakes around 3:30 a.m. and that didn't last long.
